During our unit on New Year's celebrations around the world, we learned about Chinese New Year. We even made our own dragon and had a parade with other kindergarten and K/1 classes!
We tried moon cakes for snack.
We also learned about other New Year's traditions around the world by "traveling" to other countries/classrooms to see how they ring in the new year. When learned about traditions in the U.S., Japan, Chile, China, and we learned about Rosh Hashanah.
