Colorful Creations

During our color unit, we read lots of wonderful color books.  We used the book Mouse Paint to learn about primary colors.

After the book, we each got paper with some red, yellow, and blue paint and experimented just like the mice did.  After we conducted our color experiments, we explored to see what new and interesting colors we could create.

Another experiment that we conducted involved food coloring, milk, and dish soap.  This was mostly just for fun, but the colors and designs that the broken surface tension helped create were really interesting!

Here's Laura explaining one of our experiments.  We learned that the color black is actually made up of lots of other colors!

We celebrated Ada's birthday!

Here are some of our award winners!  We get awards at our monthly showcases (the last Friday of every month).
